The 2020-21 NBA season is set to begin in a few weeks and every team’s preparations are on. However, the Milwaukee Bucks  have a bigger task on their hand. They need to convince their franchise player Giannis Antetokounmpo to re-sign.

Ever since the early exit of the Bucks in the 2020 postseason, Giannis’ future has been one of the biggest talking points around the league. While many believe that the Greek Freak needs to move on from the Bucks to win an NBA title, Giannis himself has been relatively quiet on this topic.

Right now, Eric, I’m not focusing on that. My agent Alex and Jon Horst and the Bucks ownership are focusing on those discussions and I’m just trying to focus on myself, how I can get better, how I can help my teammates be better and how we can be ready Saturday to play our first preseason game.”

It appears as Giannis is dodging the question about his future once again. Considering the outlash he might receive from the Bucks fans, it might be the safest route for him. However, he should be upfront with his decision whether or not he wants to stay with the team for not.

However, his success has never transitioned to the playoffs. The Bucks have always crumble when it counts the most. So keeping all things in mind, there is still room for improvement for both Giannis and Milwaukee.
