From what we’ve seen in the past few days, it certainly looks like the NBA players are suiting well inside the Orlando bubble. Several stars have been updating us with their fun-filled activities inside the Disney World Resort. But the most entertaining one so far is the “shotgun challenge” initiated by Pelicans star JJ Redick.
Redick posed a challenge to the twitter world asking them to retweet his post 10,000 times within a time frame. The challenge? If they did, he would shotgun a can of beer down his throat. Redick received an overwhelming response for his post and got the required retweets pretty quickly. Thus, he had to respect the challenge and gulp a can of ‘Bud Light.’

Redick took on and completed the challenge with ease, shotgunning a tin of ‘BL’ while relaxing himself in an ice bath. Hence, the NBA bubble “shotgun challenge” was born. Subsequently, Miami Heat big man Meyers Leonard took on the challenge to defeat Redick. In a successful attempt, Leonard shotgunned a bigger can, a 12oz ‘Coors Light’ in just 2.5 seconds.

While these two players amazingly completed the challenge, there emerged another challenger. With his attempt, he ignited the challenge and created a real competition.
NBA Stars can certainly compete against each other at all levels!
The NBA creates many rivalries among the teams due to the prize at the stake and the competitiveness of the league. But the players only carry the intensity of that on-the-court and off it, they represent a brotherhood.
To follow up on the shotgun challenge, Jordan Clarkson entered the competition and absolutely smashed it. “Y’all shotgunning baby beers,” he said. The Jazz player certainly took it to a higher level by quickly gulping a can of ‘Corona Extra’ down his throat. Well played, Jordan for describing the current pandemic and for bossing the shotgun challenge.

However, he faced retaliation pretty soon. A head-to-head locked in against Meyers Leonard to decide the champion. Both players now had a can of ‘Corona Extra’ in their hands as the agreed shotgunning beverage. As the challenge began with both competitors facing each other, Clarkson swiftly managed to gain a head start on Leonard.
However, the Heat star pushed his way back in and won the challenge with a tremendous finish. “It still didn’t matter,” Leonard yelled. “That’s the big hammer, you hear me?” he exclaimed, as Clarkson casually walked away with a smile on his face and a defeat in his hands. “God d—–! Get him the f— out of here, that s— is empty too! Can’t nobody hang with me!” Leonard continued.
I was drinking baby cans? No problem. 16oz might have been easier. Ain’t nobody competing with me. 🤝🔨 @NBABubbleLife pic.twitter.com/eiAMyjRHmF

What started as a simple challenge completed by JJ Redick, exploded into a massive face-off between Leonard and Clarkson. We hope to see similar intensity in the games when the season restarts in less than two weeks!
