Even though players are enjoying their offseason, there is nothing that will stop people from speculating about their future. Likewise, Giannis Antetokounmpo is a star who is constantly given media attention due to his current situation. As per a recent update, it is believed that the ‘Greek Freak’ will be traded away from the Bucks. His landing spot? The Golden State Warriors!

The rumors have resurfaced again. Giannis’ potential move to the Warriors was the talk of the town a few months ago, and it doesn’t seem to have receded. In fact, the notion has gained more traction after the Milwaukee Bucks underperformed in the 2020 NBA Playoffs

The 2x MVP will become an unrestricted free agent next summer, and the Bucks should hurry in persuading Giannis to sign a super-max contract with them. On the contrary, it is believed that the Bucks may be putting their hands up in order to send their best player out of the franchise!

Why Giannis could leave the Bucks and join Golden State Warriors

While the idea might seem a bit far-fetched, there is a real possibility of this happening. There are multiple reports suggesting the trade, and ESPN has an attractive package as well! If the Warriors give up youngsters Andrew Wiggins and Eric Paschall, they can acquire Giannis, even though it might take them a bit over the tax line.

Furthermore, Kendrick Perkins recently joined Sportsnet’s Tim & Sidwhere he instilled belief that Giannis is definitely on the move.

“Giannis is doing a great job of keeping it in the house. Nobody knows, everyone is just speculating, but my guess is, Milwaukee right now, they’re not focused on signing Giannis… They’re probably focused on making a trade,” Perkins said

“If they can’t land anybody during the offseason, expect Giannis in this short offseason to get traded,” added Perkins. But there are several teams in contention to acquire one of the best players in the league. Who should he sign with?

“If he wanna win now, if he wanna land a championship, his best destination is not Toronto, not Miami, it’s really the Warriors,” Perkins mentioned.

There’s not really much to argue in this case. One can honestly assume how good the Warriors will become if Giannis joins them. With a third superstar at their disposal, they can smoothly rise to the top of the Western Conference again.

As Perkins said, for Giannis to immediately become a strong championship contender, he should join the Warriors. Imagine a player averaging nearly 30.0 points a season joining Steph Curry and Klay Thompson at the Bay Team. Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?
