David Falk is best known for representing Michael Jordan throughout his career. Falk served as the agent of MJ and brought the most beneficial outcome for his client through every negotiation.

The once most sought after agent, joined 106.7 FM’s The Junkies on NBC Sports Washington recently. He had his thoughts on ‘The Last Dance’ after watching the recently released episodes. Falk minced no words when it came to talking about his best client in the NBA, Michael Jordan. One can say that it was his job to talk up Jordan for the entirety of his career.

He outrightly claimed that in the current league standard, Jordan could have tore apart defenses and eaten them alive with his prowess. “With virtually zero defense, no hand-checking, I think if Jordan played today; if he was in his prime in today’s rules, I think he’d average between 50 and 60 a game. I think he’d shoot 75% from the floor. If you couldn’t hand-check him, he would be completely unstoppable,” Falk said.

Falk also mentioned that his special status has allowed him to watch the remaining episodes as well. He put forth a statement that many of us would be wondering if it is true for a long time coming. Clearly, we’ll be figuring it out once we claw through the rest of the six episodes yet to air. But here is a gist of what he had to say.

“Scottie Pippen is jealous of Michael Jordan” – David Falk

David Falk did not have nice things about Scottie Pippen. He went against Pippen to maybe settle a long-standing business with him, while a radio appearance might have seemed like the perfect place for Falk.

“Pippen has a certain level of jealousy towards Michael. He has said recently many times he thinks LeBron’s a better player. Now, if you’re Scottie Pippen, and Michael Jordan made your career, completely made your career; even if you think that, keep it to yourself.”

For starters, he is no fan of LeBron James. Second, Falk wants Pippen to keep his mouth shut about his opinions which you can’t ask him to do. “Scottie’s problem, as the documentary points out in so many different places after the episodes you’ve seen, is that he wasn’t a great competitor. There were times for silly reasons,” he said. He even bought up Jordan’s flu game as a comparison stating Pippen was out of the game as he had a headache.

For the Chicago Bulls, Jordan and Pippen were like Batman and Robin. The whole world knew it. Even Pippen himself knew that ‘His Airness’ would be given more attention than him. But nevertheless, he was a great competitor and Jordan himself has mentioned the thundering impact of Scottie in his career.
