‘Don’t Get Your Hopes Up’: Warriors’ Steph Curry Responds To His Stunning ‘Tunnel Shot’

Steph Curry is ready to return to the NBA this season. After spending most of last season on the shelf, the former two-time MVP is back and looking to go off again. This year is a crucial season for him, as he and the Golden State Warriors look to prove that their dynasty is far from over.

Before the Warriors’ pre-season game, Curry started a bizarre new ritual. He took a shot from the tunnel of the Chase Center seating area. In true Steph Curry fashion, he made the shot from that far out. Talking about his new ritual, Curry shared a hilarious response. He said, “That’s gonna be a tough act to follow so don’t get your hopes up.”

Curry is regarded as the greatest shooter of all time. So it comes as no surprise that he made this ridiculous shot. But even Curry knows his limitations, so he suggested that him making the rare shot was a one-off. However, if anyone can be trusted to make such a shot on a regular basis, it would be Steph Curry.

Curry is coming off an arm injury that kept him sidelined for much of last season. But he wasn’t the only player missing for the Warriors. Klay Thompson suffered a gruesome ACL injury last year during the NBA finals that kept him sidelined for the entirety of the 2019-20 season.

It appeared as though Klay had recovered and was ready to go. However, he sustained another season-ending injury during a pick-up game. Now, Curry will be without his partner in crime. But the Warriors have tried to get him some help. They drafted James Wiseman as the second overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and acquired Kelly Oubre from Phoenix in a trade.

This year, Curry will not have his All-Star crew around him, for the first time in a long time. But this is a great opportunity to prove to all fans why he is one of the greatest players of all time. It will be interesting to see where Curry can lead the Warriors this season. With the Lakers and Clippers stronger than before, he will not have an easy time in the Western Conference.
