Fans all around the world are celebrating the Los Angeles Lakers winning the 2020 NBA championship. This year will go down as a memorable one for several reasons. Laker fan and rapper Lil Wayne recently joined ESPN’s ‘The Jump’ to answer a few crucial questions about the team and their dynasty.
The 2020 title is special for the Lakers, owing to the tragic loss of Kobe Bryant earlier in the year. LeBron James vowed to bring home the championship, and so he did. “First of all, Rest in Paradise Kobe, Rest in Paradise Gigi, and everybody else involved in that tragedy,” Lil Wayne expressed on air.
The 38-year-old rapper called the Lakers’ triumph “success at its highest peak.” Losing a friend while chasing a championship is extremely hard to take. But LeBron James fueled his mind even more after Kobe’s death to bring home a championship to Los Angeles.

Lil Wayne does not want to argue where LeBron ranks as an All-time Laker and just mentioned that: “He’s right where he’s at.” But a bigger question has emerged on everyone’s minds after the Lake show dominated the bubble.

Can the Los Angeles Lakers do a repeat? They are very much capable of it. Anthony Davis is inclining towards a contract renewal, and LeBron James looks stronger than ever! Every Laker faithful would indeed crave for a double, similar to shades of 2009 and 2010.
Lil Wayne delivered a casual response when asked about the Lakers’ fortune next season and just said: “Do birds fly?” The reason behind the five-time Grammy winner’s response is based on the notion that Davis is planning to sign a multi-year extension with the team.
