The Los Angeles Lakers finished the 2019-20 season as World Champions. LeBron James and Anthony Davis’ duo finally ended a 10 year drought for the franchise.
However, apart from these superstars, the supporting cast did a terrific job this season. The purple and gold had multiple players who filled the role of the third star for the Lakers.
Heading into free agency, rumors suggest a couple of players might not return for next season. But according to LA guard Danny Green, the team will be back as it is.

“I think we bring everybody back. We do what we did this year and hopefully not in a bubble. I think the group that we have is special.
“I think we can still make something special happen, regardless of what moves are made outside of us, what teams get better or healthy. Golden State is going to be healthier, Brooklyn is going to be healthier.
“I still believe we have the talent with the pieces we have now. It’s going to be hard to bring back all 10 free agents, but if we bring back the majority, with the nucleus we have now on the roster, I still believe we have a special team to do something great.”
As Green said, next season will be even more competitive, and bringing in new players might hinder the team chemistry. Instead of building the chemistry once again, the Lakers will have a better shot at the title by running it back.

They still need to improve that aspect of their game before the next season begins. Maybe adding a player or two to the roster won’t have any negative impact on the team.
But what do you think about Danny Green’s comments? Do the Lakers need to change things on their roster in upcoming free agency?
