Due to the pandemic, many people are not able to meet as regularly as they used to. In the NBA, this may create a problem. After all, it is a team game, and the players need to maintain a great bond. While the league is doing its best to ensure everyone keeps in in touch, some players may not feel the need to do so. One such player is Kristaps Porzingis, who feels that his chemistry with fellow Maverick Luka Doncic has never been better.
Kristaps Porzingis’ relationship with Mavericks star Luka Doncic
Luka Doncic joined the Dallas Mavericks in 2018 and proved himself a star. After playing with Real Madrid in 2014 and the EuroBasket 2017, Doncic flourished in the NBA. Soon, he was joined by his Schengen brother, Kristaps Porzingis.

Porzingis, who the New Your Knicks drafted in 2015, soon became a league favorite. However, when he joined the Mavs to play alongside Luka just this season, the league saw the beginning of an developing partnership.
As soon as they began playing together, their chemistry was evident. Earlier this year, before the season got suspended, they put up 64 points, 29 rebounds and 13 assists together. That contributed to the team’s 127-123 overtime win over New Orleans Pelicans.
They also achieved a franchise record.
Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic are the first pair of Mavericks teammates with 30 pts and 10 rebs in the same game since Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard in 2008.

Recently, in a media availability, Kristaps Porzingis talked about everything from his thoughts about the Orlando bubble to his newest skills. Another thing he addressed was his relationship with Mavericks’ star, Luka Doncic.
“I don’t think its gonna be that tough. We’ve been working out with Luka also since we’ve been back. For us, once we got to know a little more of each other on court, it was only a matter of time for us to get that chemistry going and I don’t think we’re going to take a step back. We’re only moving forward”
