Kenyon Martin and Kevin Garnett were one of the physically tougher players to have played in the NBA. Aside from wearing their heart on their sleeves, they were always outspoken and candid. Every now and then, when a debate comes up, they don’t shy away from giving their opinion.

The general consensus among retired NBA players is that the game is ‘soft’. And that the current players don’t indulge in physical altercations like them anymore.

And Kenyon also shares that view, “You can’t turn a porch dog into a guard dog, and there are a lot of poodles in the NBA right now.  There were some guys like that back when I played, too.”

And quite surprisingly, the former New Jersey Nets man also took a pop at Garnett. Kenyon thought that KGs tough-guy image was all an act. And when push came to shove, he ran away.

Calling him out, he said, “Kevin Garnett was a porch puppy–a miniature chihuahua in a Dobermann’s body. I told him to his face, ‘You’re a porch puppy. All you do is bark.’

“He wanted no smoke from me. I told him straight up, ‘You better take your ass back to your huddle before I get mad.'”

Kevin Garnett quashes any beef

The former Boston Celtics forward poured cold water on any beef that was highly anticipated on social media. On his Instagram stories, he wrote, “Real bro’s, real love. Stop it internet. Ya’ll stop it!”

The two share a sense of mutual admiration for each other, and there is no beef. Fans are forgetting the fact that Kenyon Martin frequently appears on KG’s show on TNT, Area 21. In fact, he put him in the list of 5 players he hated playing in the NBA most –

He clearly regards KG as a tough opponent. It’s just one alpha dog trying to assert his authority over the other. To conclude, Kevin Garnett and Kenyon Martin are cool with each other.
