Boston Celtics clinched the third seed with a record of 48-24 in the 2019-2020 NBA season. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers locked the sixth seed with a 43-30 record.
Despite being the lower seed, the 76ers defeated the Celtics in three out of four games during the regular season. But things are not looking so good for the 76ers in the Playoffs.
The biggest concern for them has been a sub-par defense in the absence of Ben Simmons. The star point guard has been ruled out indefinitely due to a knee injury during the Orlando Bubble seeding games.

This means the responsibilities that fall to carry the Sixers team fall on Joel Embiid’s shoulders. Moreover, Tobias Harris and Al Horford seem to have lost their touch.
Boston Celtics take a 2-0 lead over the 76ers
Boston won easily, defeating their bitter rivals in the first two games. Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, and Jaylen Brown touched the 20 point mark to crush the Embid led 76ers in game 2.
Kemba, who joined the Celtics at the beginning of the season, has been very crucial for them throughout. After a blowout victory against the Sixers, Kemba raised an unusual issue with Philly’s defense.
“It’s different. I really haven’t seen that much space in a very long time,” Walker said.

It is evident that even Kemba was surprised at how poorly the Sixers guarded them. The gameplay clearly shows the lack of hustle from Philly. The Boston Trio scored all over them and won the game comfortably with a score of 128-101.

Walker has a pass-first mentality, which compliments his teammates perfectly. Moreover, Jayson Tatum has stepped up his game in the playoffs and is looking like a genuine leader out there.
The Celtics need to continue this form and they could easily win the first round matchup.
