Kevin Durant is an active social media user. We have seen this in the countless interactions he has had with fans and players on these platforms. Today’s NBA is so open that players often jump on Twitter or Instagram to interact with their fans, and sometimes, trolls.
The SLAM Instagram page posted a video that had the caption “tag a buddy who can’t guard you in 1s”. The top comment on that post came from KD, who tagged a whole host of people. It started with his friend and teammate in Kyrie Irving, but extended to several others. Kevin Durant tagged Theo Pinson, Freddie Gibbs, Caris LeVert, his brother Tony Durant and others. The names that stuck out of these mentions were none other than former American President Barack Obama and Durant’s own mother.

But not all of KD’s targets were going to sit quietly. Theo Pinson immediately retorted by saying “let’s get these 1s poppin then” and Caris LeVert responded with a snarky “yeah ight”.
Kevin Durant’s Road To Brooklyn
Kevin Durant has spent the entire season out due to an Achilles tear he sustained in the 2019 NBA Finals. He left the Golden State Warriors in the 2019 off-season and teamed up with Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn. Durant was on the verge of a three-peat with the Warriors before the team disintegrated due to injuries.

Prior to last season, KD won consecutive titles and Finals MVP awards. He started his career with the Seattle SuperSonics, which soon rebranded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. KD became a franchise cornerstone alongside Russell Westbrook. After a heartbreaking loss in the 2016 Western Conference Finals to the Warriors, KD left the Thunder to team up with the people that beat him. KD joined Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson after the Warriors fell to the Cavaliers in that year’s Finals.
KD is a former regular season MVP as well as a multiple-time scoring champion.
