The Portland Trail Blazers‘ fans are going to see the return of three key players who were injured last season. This includes Zach Collins, Rodney Hood, and Jusuf Nurkic. Nurkic is a big man for the Blazers. He is not just an excellent player and teammate, but a loving family man too.

After an unfortunate and tough season, the Blazers will look to revive themselves now. It is highly unlikely that they will have the same bad luck with injuries this year, the way they did last season. They had two season-ending injuries on their roster in Hood and Collins. They also had Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum missing out on games from time to time.

Things got worse for Nurkic, who was already out for the entire season, and then his grandmother tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.

Now, with a healthier roster, the Blazers can be a major threat to others. With Nurkic back, their defense is going to be fixed immediately. This is something they struggled with immensely last season.

Nurkic might be feeling the pressure to bring the Blazers back into contention. But before he gets into that, he seems to be focusing on his family.

Jusuf Nurkic gives his mother her first car

Nurkic recently posted a picture of him, his mother, and his younger brother standing in front of a brand new car. The caption read, “I wish my grandma 👵🏼can be here for this moment. Man it’s been a struggle for us since day one, specially for her (my Mom) but finally, after 40+ years my Mom owns her first car. To all mothers in every circumstance, including those who struggle – and all will – I say Be peaceful. Believe in God, yourself, and your kids. You are doing better than you think you are.”

It is predicted that the upcoming season will be far more competitive than the last one. The Blazers need to make sure they bring their A-Game this time and make sure their players don’t fall prey to any more injuries.
