The Los Angeles Lakers sport one of the most talented rosters in the NBA. But if you look at it now, they are without two of their key players. The unavailability of Avery Bradley and the unexpected injury of Rajon Rondo has put the Lakers in a tricky position. As coach Vogel would look to fill in these spots, a former teammate of LeBron James has raised his hand up to volunteer for the position.
When LeBron James joined the Miami Heat in 2010, he was the new face of the team. ‘The Heatles,’ as they were known, formed the core of the team that went on to win back-to-back championships.
Mario Chalmers was a member of the Miami Heat from 2008-15. The point-guard stayed in south beach for eight seasons before he went to Memphis. During the period he was a part of the team that reached four consecutive NBA finals. Though Chalmers wasn’t a regular starter, he made his fair share of contributions to the franchise.

Chalmers wants to reunite with LeBron James
As the Lakers face injury woes on a sudden note, they have to cope up with the players they have on the roster. Team rotation will be a huge-key now, as they are without primary players Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley.
A page named Top Ball Coverage, brilliantly captured Chalmers’ latest comment on B/R’s post. The post was published on Twitter, in which you can see Bleacher Report providing an update that Rondo will have to undergo surgery on his fractured thumb.
Chalmers quickly expressed his interest in the vacant position and wrote, “Sounds like @lakers need another pg…..been patiently waiting and workin.”

The 34-year-old had been playing for Greece’s AEK Athens and even won the Greek Cup this year. But he is now a free agent. Chalmers, a two-time NBA champion momentarily wants to reunite with LeBron James by joining the Lakers.

Though the move can’t practically happen, Chalmers just poked fun as the Lakers have just lost their point guard Rajon Rondo to injury. The NBA transaction window ended on June 30, which means that the teams can’t sign any replacement players.
The Lakers have to find a rotational pattern to replace Bradley and Rondo as they have acquired the services of Dion Waiters and J. R. Smith, who can serve as effective replacements. These two would be instrumental in helping the Lakers secure a shot at the title this season.
