The Denver Nuggets are one of the top contenders in a stacked Western Conference. They proved their worth in the 2020 postseason, making it to the Western Conference Finals. However, they couldn’t beat the eventual champions, LA Lakers.
Regardless, they have a solid roster, led by stars Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. But despite that, they didn’t have a huge offseason.
Reportedly, the team won’t have huge changes in their expected starting 5 for the 2020-21 NBA season.

Predicted Denver Nuggets starting lineup for 2020-21 NBA season
Jamal Murray – Point Guard
Murray is coming off of a fabulous playoff run and blossomed into a superstar for the Nuggets. He handled the scoring load for the team when it mattered the most. Honestly, if it weren’t for Murray’s insane scoring burst, the Nuggets would have been out of the playoffs in the first round itself.
Murray averaged a stunning 26.5 points per game in the 19 games he played and started for Denver in playoffs.
Gary Harris – Shooting Guard
Gary Harris will be sharing the backcourt with Murray this season. He has been with the Nuggets for his entire career and has proved to be a solid starter for the franchise over the years. However, staying healthy for the entire season is something the Nuggets would expect from him.
Michael Porter Jr. – Small Forward
Porter Jr. had a pretty bad injury in the 2018-19 NBA season, which forced him to be sidelined for the entire season. So the 2019-20 NBA season was technically his rookie season- for a rookie, he had a solid season.
While Porter was coming off the bench for the team last season, he might be promoted to the starting role this season, owing to the departure of Jerami Grant,.
Paul Millsap – Power Forward

If a team is trying to contend for championship, veteran presence is quite vital. Paul Millsap brings the veteran presence with him on the court for the team. He can become the X-factor for the team as well, just like his role against the Clippers in the Western Semifinals.
Nikola Jokic – Center
Jokic is definitely the leader of the team and unarguably the best player on the roster. His ability to make plays as a big man is unparalleled, and possibly the best among all the centers in the league. In the 2020 postseason, Nikola Jokic averaged 24.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game.
