Washington’s NFL Team was looking to change their original name. Though the team had several interesting ideas, they picked none publically. But the following week, they announced a new temporary name for the team on Twitter, the “Washington Football Team”. LeBron James, who could have been an NFL player himself, naturally reacted to the story.

“The decision to use the ‘Washington Football Team’ for this season allows the franchisee the ability to undertake an in-depth branding process to properly include player, alumni, fan, community, and sponsor input,” the team said in a statement shared Thursday afternoon.
“To date, we have been pleased to see so many people putting forward their vision of what the new name and design should be on their social media channels and we look forward to including their feedback as this process progresses.“

Further, James did not hold back from a response and lightened up the conversation with another humorous tweet. He said that he wanted to check up on Durant but joked about how he probably didn’t get time after the news broke.
To this, Durant replied that he was doing just fine and is eagerly looking forward to what’s about to come.
