The trade deadline is approaching soon and Pistons seem to hold one of the most important trade cards right now. The Pistons have found their crown jewel in Jerami Grant and now have a chance to restructure their team. If they receive a decent trade package in return for Jerami Grant, they could potentially add depth to their roster.
A recent news report indicates that the Pistons are asking for a high price from anyone interested in Jerami Grant.

Jake Fischer of the Bleacher Report released the name of teams which are interested in Grant’s services. “The Lakers, Trail Blazers, Knicks, Jazz, Wizards, Celtics, Pacers, Timberwolves and Kings have all signaled interest in the 27-year-old.”
He further went on to say that, “Sources say Detroit is now asking for two first-round picks or one first-round pick plus a high-upside young player.”
This shows that the Pistons would be willing to do a deal for Grant, but it wouldn’t come cheap. They’d require either two first round picks or one first-round pick and a young player with immense capabilities.
Is Jerami Grant worth it?
Jerami Grant is undoubtedly a player of exceptional caliber. He has been one of the most sought after assets during this season. Grant has proved, time and again, that he can perform on both ends of the court. Currently Grant is averaging an amazing 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game this season. In addition to that, he is also shooting 41.4 percent from the field and 33.1 percent from deep.
Grant is an extremely versatile two-way player who could potentially benefit any team he goes to. He is a scoring machine and a defensive beast; a combination that is hard to come by and difficult to maintain. As a 27-year-old, Grant is still young, and would be an amazing investment.

Which team is most likely to go ahead with the trade?
Grant would be an extremely important addition to the Lakers. However, it is not certain whether they have the assets to trade for him or not. Lakers have already traded most of their first round picks. To trade for Grant, they would have to give up either Horton-Tucker or Kendrick Nunn. If not that, they would have to shell out first round picks and sacrifice their future.

Wizards seem to be a good landing spot for Grant. Wizards have first round picks and young players to trade from. However, Grant hasn’t exercised the free agency option yet.
