Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is the best player in the NBA, and also the face of the league. With him turning 36 now, many have touted Luka Doncic to be his successor.
During a recent conversation with former teammate Richard Jefferson, LeBron praised Doncic. He said, “Luka is one of my favorite players in the NBA today. For the simple fact of, the way I play the game is exactly how I love the way he plays the game.”
Both LeBron and Luka are two of the most enjoyable players to watch. Their talent level is outstanding, yet they have a team-first mentality, which is to get the best out of their teammates and aim only for the win.

The team-up that almost happened
Recently, Warriors star Stephen Curry started his own brand called the Curry Brand. So, LeBron said he wanted to do something similar. He said that he wanted to begin Team LeBron with Luka as his first signing, but it never transpired. He also admitted that missing out on this will haunt him in the future.
Bron said, “I wanted to begin Team LeBron and have Luka as my first signing with Nike. This is what I wanted, and I don’t believe my guys at Nike were ready for that. Obviously, they were not, because he ended up going to Jordan.

“That’s how much I believe in him, and I feel like it’s going to haunt me a little bit. But I wanted him to be my guy, I wanted him to be my first guy because I just love what he stands for. I love everything about him, both on the court and off the court. He’s just a great guy.”
Will LeBron James get the better of Luka Doncic on Christmas Day
ESPN released the tentative Christmas Day schedule for the NBA on Tuesday, and the Lakers play the Mavericks in prime time. The Mavericks have got better every season since Luka has joined. The Lakers have also strengthened their squad heavily. So this is going to be a huge matchup, especially the battle of LeBron vs Luka.
