During the 2014 Draft, the Orlando Magic selected Aaron Gordon with their 4th overall pick. He had the hype because of his outstanding athleticism. But in his six seasons so far, he is yet to show how he can expand his game beyond that and prove to be a star.
So unsurprisingly, the Magic have been considering offers for him. So what are the likely trade destinations for the 6’9 forward?

Could the Milwaukee Bucks be an option for Aaron Gordon?
According to Sam Amico, the Bucks are one of the teams that are interested in trading for Gordon. They have been linked with him for a long time and now, with the Magic ready to let go of him, they could pounce on the opportunity.
However, the Bucks don’t need a player like Gordon at the moment. They need someone who can distribute the ball and also shoot. With Giannis on the team, they always need shooters. Gordon is a career 31% shooter from three, and he does not fit the bill. It could also hamper the Bucks’ chance to resign Giannis if they make such trades.

Golden State Warriors – Another option for Aaron Gordon?
Like the Bucks, the Warriors have also been on the hunt for Gordon, for a while now. They could either use their trade exception or throw in Andrew Wiggins to work out a potential trade.
Adding Gordon to their team will improve their fast ball-movement and will make them deadly on fast breaks too. A small-ball lineup with Gordon at the four and Draymond at the five would be exciting to watch as well. While he isn’t a good shooter, he can add quality to the lineup with his athleticism and defense.

Another option for Gordon – the Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets could be a completely out of the box move. With Paul Millsap leaving in Free Agency, the Nuggets could target Aaron Gordon to be his replacement.

Adding Gordon to the lineup would allow Michael Porter Jr to start at small forward and Gordon can play power forward. He can make up for Porter’s lack of defense and also rebound the ball well. They’d likely have to give up Gary Harris for Gordon, but they can replace him with Will Barton as the starting shooting guard.
After one playoff appearance in six seasons, Gordon would love a move to a contender team. He has the skill set to help such a team, and it will be interesting to see if Orlando Magic can find the right trade for him.
