Milwaukee Bucks are slowly rising to the top of the East again. The Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is looking like an MVP, and his form is the main reason behind their recent success. They were only getting better, and now, the front office has strengthened the team with a blockbuster addition.
They brought in Houston Rockets’ veteran P. J. Tucker in a trade which saw D. J. Augustin and D.J. Wilson go the other way. The Bucks also receive Rodions Kurucs in the trade, and there are also some picks involved.
They came out of nowhere to trade for Tucker. Almost every other contender was rumored to bring him in, but the Bucks were never in the race.

He has just arrived, but it looks like Tucker has already formed a bond with Giannis. The 35-year-old mentioned he was glad to not face Giannis again, and the Greek star was thinking about the same thing.
“He looked at me and I looked at him and we both said the same thing,” Tucker said. “He was like, ‘I don’t have to go against you no more.” And I said, ‘Yeah. And I don’t have to guard you anymore.'”
Can Giannis Antetokounmpo and the new-look Bucks have an improved playoffs performance?
In the last two seasons, the Bucks have finished with the best record in the league. However, their regular-season success has failed to translate into postseason success. They fell to the Raptors in the Conference Finals in 2019 and lost to the Heat in the Conference Semifinals in 2020.
So, the Bucks have made a couple of trades in a bid to prevent it this time. They started the season with a big trade to bring in Jrue Holiday, followed by their recent trade for Tucker. This gives them two experienced players who have the ability to step up at the big moments.

With a core of Giannis, Holiday, and Khris Middleton, and adding veterans Brook Lopez and Tucker to the mix, the Bucks have an amazing starting five. They’ll also have Donte DiVincenzo, Bobby Portis, Pat Connaughton, Torrey Craig, and Bryn Forbes off the bench which is a strong rotation.
They have the capability to beat top teams like the 76ers and the Nets. If Giannis can step up as a leader and have an inspired campaign, the Bucks could potentially go all the way.
