Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan is the richest NBA player of all-time. With his various investments and a shoe empire, he has generated a net worth of over $2 billion. So because of this massive wealth, Jordan could easily turn down deals, even if it were $100 million dollars.
David Falk, Jordan’s agent throughout his career, revealed some interesting tales about the Bulls legend earlier this year. One of the most surprising ones was Jordan rejecting a massive $100 million deal for a minor appearance.

“I brought him a deal three years ago for 100 million dollars,” Falk said on the “And all he had to do, other than give his name and likeness, was make one or two-hour appearance to announce the deal. And he turned it down.”
$100 million dollars for a two-hour appearance would have been a blind yes for almost everyone in the world. But that list excludes Jordan. Falk further revealed that Jordan rejected another similar opportunity a few years ago.
Falk said, “He turned out a deal to do a one day golfer appearance when he was in Asia a few years ago for a preseason game with Charlotte. And some woman in the Philippines offered me $7 million dollars for one day to play in a golf tournament. He turned it down.”

Few fans know that Jordan’s career earnings hardly make up for this immense wealth. During his playing days, Jordan was the highest paid player in the league for only two seasons. Despite arguably being the GOAT, he was underpaid. He took a pay cut for most of his career because he wanted the Bulls to be competitive.
Jordan had arguably announced himself as the best player in the league by his third season. However, it wasn’t until his final two years with the Bulls that he got his much-awaited pay-day. After not making more than $4 million in his first 11 seasons in the league, Jordan earned over $30 million in his final two seasons with the Bulls.
It was much deserved, and he made the Bulls owners happy about this decision after leading them to the title in both seasons. After all, when you invest in the GOAT, you get the best results possible. (Look away Wizards fans)!
