The Miami Heat stay alive and force a Game 6 in the NBA Finals. Right from the tip-off, they showed they wanted it more. With some gritty defense in the clutch, they could seal the win. Jimmy Butler was the hero again and had an inspired performance as he led the Heat to the win.
However, during the post-game interview, Butler was still not content with their performance. He also acknowledged that they got lucky in the end.
“It was all about getting stops, getting everyone on offense. I still don’t think we rebounded the ball the way we were supposed to, to close out the game. Definitely, it was a little bit of luck that Danny Green missed that shot at the top of the key.

“We just played hard. Got to where we wanted to on offense. Shared the ball like we always do. This is a game of runs. I think we withstood theirs. (We go) back to the hotel to get better. The way we ended this game tonight is not good enough for the next one.”

Jimmy Butler: Leader and warrior
Throughout the playoffs, Butler has shown he is a man for the big occasions. And now in the Finals, he looks better than ever. Tonight he had a monster 35 point triple-double, joining LeBron James as the only two players to record multiple 30-point triple-doubles in a Finals series.
Butler shot 11/19 from the field, including 12/12 from the charity stripe. His ability to draw fouls has been immense, and he has frustrated the Lakers with his frequent trips to the line. He also had 12 rebounds and 11 assists and led the team in both departments. Finally, he had a whopping five steals and a crucial block to complete an all-round performance.

His fighting spirit, leadership, and clutch ability has been the foundation for the Heat’s success so far. But they still have a lot more to do. They need to win one more game to stay alive in the series. Butler almost played the whole game tonight and will be exhausted. It will not only be a mental battle, but also a physical one. Butler and the Heat will be hoping to remain the last men standing.
