The Los Angeles Lakers have had a terrible start to the season so far, winning just two out of their five games. For a team that is branded as a title favorite, fans naturally expect them to do better. They started well, beating rival team Clippers, but have gone downhill since then.

The Lakers managed to beat the Jazz but still couldn’t avoid defeat against the Rockets, Mavericks, and the Thunder. They are also the worst shooting team in the league so far and are currently below 25% from three.
The Los Angeles Lakers take on the Indiana Pacers tonight
The Pacers, on the other hand, have had a hot start. They won three on the trot but then were stopped by the Suns in their fourth game. T.J. Warren has been the star for Indiana and is averaging 33.8 points per game and is shooting 53% from deep.
Players to expect on the court
Brad Turner from the LA Times had initially reported that LeBron James and Alex Caruso have been listed as questionable, and Anthony Davis is probable. But now, Chris Haynes from Yahoo Sports has confirmed that both James and Davis will be playing tonight. LeBron had missed the previous game against the Rockets and watched from the sidelines as his team lost.

LA Times’ Tania Ganguli also posted that Danny Green will not be taking part in the game when the Lakers take on the Pacers. Apparently, Green will sit out due to hip soreness.
Pacers have their share of worries too. Scott Agness from The Athletic reported that their in-form man, Warren, has been listed as questionable with a sore right foot. Joining him as questionable in the injury report are center Myles Turner and sharpshooter Doug McDermott.

If Warren doesn’t play for the Pacers, the chances of them winning are very thin. Even with him, they would be facing a challenge. The Lakers will have to improve their performance and maybe slightly extra motivated to avoid their third loss in a row. As it stands, a victory for the Lakers is the likely result.
