Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is one of the greatest players to ever grace a basketball court. He is one of the finest centers of the game, finishing his career as the leading points-getter in NBA history. Kareem won his inaugural NBA title while playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, but became a superstar while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. The 6-time MVP still has a close relationship with the Lakers organization, serving as an assistant coach on the team from 2005 to 2011.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Los Angeles Lakers
Kareem recently sent a gift to the Lakers players in the Bubble, as seen on JaVale McGee’s recent vlog. McGee recorded his journey to Orlando, in which he showed everything that the NBA had put in the rooms of the players. These included snacks like Doritos, popcorn, pretzels, along with utilities like hand sanitizers, speakers, and masks.

Along with those, players also have mini-library to choose from. On that pile, there was a gift from Camp Skyhook, a foundation run by Kareem.

Kareem once said, “I can do more than stuff a ball through a hoop; my greatest asset is my mind.” As a testimony to this adage, he has written over 15 books since retirement, including a graphic novel series. Kareem must have sent one of these books as a gift to the Lakers players through his foundation. The name of the book is unclear, but it could range anywhere between the Mycroft Holmes series to a book on World War II.
The LA Lakers are currently number one in the Western Conference. They are the odds-on-favorite to win the NBA title, followed by the Milwaukee Bucks and the LA Clippers. They have had roster concerns heading into the bubble, but are still pegged to be the favorites.
