The Golden State Warriors are fighting for a playoff spot this season following last season’s debacle. And it is only possible because of one man: Stephen Curry. He has been in spectacular form since the start of the season and is breaking multiple records. The latest one involves Michael Jordan.
After a stellar performance against the Cavaliers tonight, Curry became the first guard since Jordan (1995-96 season) to score at least 25 points while shooting 50% from the field in nine straight games. Jordan is the hallmark for scorers in the NBA. So achieving a feat like that further enhances Curry’s reputation as a scorer.

He finished the game with 36 points and six assists tonight. He shot very efficiently as well, going 13-19 from the field and 7-11 from three. This display helped the Warriors beat the Cavs in a 31-point blowout win. This makes it three wins in four games for the Warriors now.
Will Stephen Curry and the Warriors return to the playoffs in the 2020-21 season?
The Warriors are currently without James Wiseman after the rookie suffered a wrist injury. This blow became worse when Kevon Looney also got injured, leaving the Warriors with zero natural centers in their rotation.

But Draymond Green has stepped up big time during this stretch and has influential in their performances. Eric Paschall and Juan Toscano-Anderson have also chipped in and have become an important part of the rotation. They came into the Cavs game facing two top rebounding centers but were still able to be on level terms with them on rebounds.

Despite the 15th win of their season tonight, the Warriors are still ninth. They remain one place away from being in the playoffs spots because of how competitive the Western Conference has been this season.

Not only do they need to be consistent now but also hope that the teams above lose their momentum. Curry’s MVP form has been monumental for their record so far, but he also needs support from his teammates. They host the Miami Heat in their next game and will be expecting to win that considering the recent success they have found.
