Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks are two of the favorites to win the NBA title this year. One of the reasons is the star man leading each of the teams- LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo. They are two players leading the MVP race and simultaneously leading their teams to the top of their respective conferences.

If it does come down to these two teams in the NBA finals, a lot will depend on the players outside of the two superstars. Former NBA player and current analyst Jalen Rose feels that the Lakers have a strong unit supporting James. Moreover, Anthony Davis, according to him, gives the Lakers the edge over the Bucks.

“For anybody that thinks that the Bucks supporting cast is better than the Lakers supporting cast, they got to pay closer attention to Anthony Davis. The guy is leading the Lakers in points and rebounds,” he said, talking on ESPN’s Get Up.

“If you think that the Lakers will not be a playoff team without LeBron James; that’s really saying what you feel about Anthony Davis.”

Anthony Davis has averaged 26.7 points and 9.4 rebounds per game this season shooting at 51.1 % from field goals. According to Rose, the Lakers could be the stronger team if both James and Antetokounmpo were removed out of the equation.

“The second-best player on the Bucks is Chris Middleton. I can’t act like if you remove LeBron and if you remove Giannis, then the Lakers still won’t be better than the Bucks. They will be. They have a perennial All-NBA player playing alongside LeBron… Each time LeBron has won a championship he’s been on a super team!”

Milwaukee Bucks vs Los Angeles Lakers looks a great possibility for the NBA finals this year. Both are comfortably sitting on top of their respective conferences. It would be a great matchup if these two teams face each other in the finals series.
