Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is one of the most hated players in the league. It all started when he chose to go to the Heat after a lack of success with the Cavs. Fans expected him to stay loyal to one team like Michael Jordan, but that didn’t happen. Despite the hate, he has continuously proved the critics wrong by doing what he does best – win!
Bron’s former coach from the Heat, David Fizdale, recently spoke about how LeBron learned to ignore the haters after that move to Miami. He said, “The biggest thing he learned in Miami is to stop giving a f**k. That’s hard to do when so many people are talking about you… This dude was a 9th grader on Sports Illustrated. He was supposed to be the best player to have ever played the game, and that was on his head from that day on. And he hasn’t disappointed.”

After being drafted #1 overall in 2003, LeBron was expected to lead the Cavs to glory. Despite being failed by the front office, he led them to a Finals run in 2007, only to be swept away. He tried his best, but there was no way he would win a championship with Larry Hughes or Zydrunas Ilgauskas as the second-best player on the team.

David Fizdale says LeBron James isn’t done yet
Fizdale then spoke about how there have been a few minor bumps, like losing a particular series or missing a shot. But he said that LeBron had learned from those experiences. He said, “We watched him grow through that. If you look at the totality of what he’s done (so far) and he ain’t done. They can win it next year if Anthony Davis can stay right.”
Following the 2020 title win, LeBron and the Lakers have been called early favorites for next season. But it will be tougher for them, with the return of the Warriors and the Nets rising in the East. The Lakers might also end up losing Rajon Rondo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Dwight Howard in free agency. All three of them were vital during the Lakers’ playoff run.

Despite heading into his 18th season in the NBA now, there is no stopping LeBron from dominating the league once again.
