Joel Embiid led the Sixers to a fantastic win, but they were grounded by someone almost immediately. Former player Charles Barkley has been part of the show, “Inside the NBA” for more than two decades. His analysis of the game is usually right, but sometimes he does give a few controversial takes. He is entertaining on the show because of the opinions he has.

Chuck (as he is fondly known) was analyzing the just finished Philadelphia 76ers-Toronto Raptors for the show. According to him, the 76ers offense was “brutal down the stretch”. He continues, ” Joel wants the ball at the top of the key and not on the box. They were doubling him anyway, but if he gets the ball on the box, it opens up and makes the guys around you better.” He mentioned the team will get better shots and pulled out against an on demand Toronto team.

The ending was a punch to Raptor’s chances. They are now 3-0 down in the series and a loss in the next one means they are eliminated. It is more tragic as they led by 17 points in the second quarter and held the lead for almost the entire game. But the Sixers came back to tie the game and take it to overtime.

James Harden’s absence during overtime meant that the Raptors had some chance. Embiid and Tyrese Maxey made every Sixers bucket to cover his absence. Harden finished with 19 points, 10 assists and six rebounds on 7-of-13 shooting. Should the Sixers win Sunday, they will face the winner of the series between the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks.
