The Los Angeles Lakers have advanced to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010. They’ve been on a tremendous run this season, and the major chunk of credit can be awarded to the dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. When AD came into the team during the 2019 offseason, he wanted to help LeBron scale the peak, and vice versa!
Throughout the season, the combination of Davis and James has destroyed their opponents. Their pairing has been a treat to watch, and for Laker faithful, a dream come true!
LeBron and AD have carried the Lakers on their backs during the 2020 NBA Playoffs. Davis went off in his first postseason appearance for the purple and gold. He’s currently averaging 28.8 points and 9.3 rebounds in the bubble playoffs, and is on a mission to help LeBron James expand his legacy.

Anthony Davis and LeBron James agreed on a pact when they first became teammates at Los Angeles
There was a lot of hype when Anthony Davis came to the Lakers during the 2019 offseason. Safe to say that he’s lived up to it so far. Moreover, after closing out the series, Anthony Davis mentioned how his mission is yet to be fulfilled.
“When I first got here, he [LeBron James] told me he wants to get me my first ring, and I told him I want to get him back to the Finals … I got your back, you got my back… we don’t want to let each other down,” Davis said, as per Mike Trudell.

This signifies the brotherhood in the team that helps them soar to new heights. They’ve got each other’s back, which has helped the team improve tremendously from last season. Though the Lakers’ current roster is different from last year, their rise has been incredible.
LeBron is tumbling records after the other by booking a ticket to the NBA Finals for the tenth time in his career. This year’s Lakers have been immensely special to watch, and they’re fired up to win it all.
Frank Vogel has performed a commanding job so far, but he’s yet to face the final battle. “He’s done a great job with all of us,” Davis said of Vogel. “He shoots it straight to us. He wants to win. We want to win. He comes to me and ‘Bron with a lot of questions and ideas … we trust him.”

The Lakers are currently awaiting their opponents from the East. However, they shouldn’t be too concerned about the ECF winners, as staying locked in towards winning the finals is first priority. Can LeBron win his fourth chip and help AD gain his first?
