The Charlotte Hornets certainly stole the show at the 2020 NBA Draft when they selected LaMelo Ball with the second overall pick. He and his brother Lonzo became the first set of brothers to have been drafted within the Top 3. LaMelo’s new teammate at Charlotte is already having trouble adjusting to facts about his age!
Hornets’ big man Cody Zeller has been with the franchise ever since they selected him in the 2013 draft. The seven-footer has been anchoring the center position for several years now and is all set to team up with LaMelo Ball in the upcoming season.

Zeller had no idea that Ball was born in the 21st century. LaMelo was born in 2001, and this genuinely astonished Zeller. He even tweeted about the same and added a bit of banter to it as well!
“I just heard a few of my new teammates say they were born in 2001! Shouldn’t they be about 12 years old if they’re born in 2001?! I had to double check that I didn’t accidentally sign up for the 6th grade basketball team!” Zeller wrote.

LaMelo’s outspoken father LaVar Ball is certain that his son will be winning the 2021 Rookie of the Year Award. He “guaranteed” this words and further said, “Teaming up with Michael Jordan and you can’t get Rookie of the Year? Are you crazy?”
