March Madness this year has showcased several talented players from both the men’s side and the women’s side. One of them, Angel Reese from the LSU Tigers made headlines yesterday with a historic win against the Iowa Hawkeyes. From the men’s side, Jordan Hawkins from the University of Connecticut won the NCAA Championship to defeat the San Diego State Aztecs. Though both had their own battle to win the NCAA, a surprising connection between the two has stunned the basketball buffs. 

However, it seems like fans still have not forgotten the drama surrounding Angel Reese and LSU for their celebration after the win yesterday. 

Jordan Hawkins leads UConn to NCAA Championship

The Connecticut Huskies defeated the San Diego State Aztecs 76-59 to win one of the toughest NCAA championships. With several upsets, this season, fourth-seed UConn and 5th seed San Diego managed to move up a tough road to battle in the championship game. Jordan Hawkins played a crucial role by dropping 16 points and 4 rebounds to win his first ring in the NCAA. However, the 20-year-old is not the only one with a ring in his family. 

Angel Reese of the LSU Tigers, who put up 15 points and 10 rebounds bagged a championship win yesterday against Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Surprisingly, after the Hawkins’ win today, NCAA revealed Angel Reese is a cousin of the UConn star. Though the fact surprised a few, many still continue to throw shade at the LSU star for the drama yesterday.

Angel Reese’s ring celebration and a John Cena gesture towards her rival Clark split the NBA world yesterday. One side supported the 20-year-old, and the others believed it was a “classless” way to celebrate a victory. However, nothing stopped the young star from enjoying her championship win.

Fans throw shade at Reese for a “classless” celebration

Though Reese has got away with one of the most important titles of her life, fans’ heat is something she might have to face regularly hereafter. However, Reese does not seem to care about the shade as she went on to tweet her photo, imitating the John Cena gesture to add fire to the fuel.
