Do you agree with Kevin Garnett's high praise for Caitlin Clark, or is Nate Robinson right?

After her recent victory over the Dallas Wings, Caitlin Clark set another record in the league. Her 12th double-doubles are the most by a guard in a single season in the WNBA history. After the Olympic break, the Fever rookie upped her performance. And Kevin Garnett previously hinted at the reason that could be an advantage for the 22-year-old. But, not before crediting her insane stats from last week.

Previously, the Boston Celtics legend was miffed because Clark and Sabrina Ionescu opted out of a 3-point contest during the All-Star weekend. On his Instagram, he questioned the decision of both stars because they garnered a total of 819,684 votes. But, it’s her 3-point shooting that made Kevin Garnett a fan again. Uploading a story on the same, he wrote, “🫡💯🫡,” to Clark’s average distance for making a 3-point shot.

The post Kevin Garnett shared with the reaction was from the basketballforever IG account. But, his former Boston teammate Nate Robinson criticized the stat and even questioned the efficiency in the comments, writing, “What’s her % who cares how far she shoots, how many is she making.” The comment from the 3x Slam Dunk champion has received 519 replies and 5k plus likes at the time of writing this.

The post stated, “Caitlin Clark has an average 3PT shot distance of 28ft 🤯 That’s more than Steph, Dame & Trae have averaged in a season.” As the report suggests, Clark’s average distance for making a 3-point shot is of 28.09 ft, which has overshadowed Stephen Curry’s 27.58 ft, Damian Lillard’s 27.68 ft, and Trae Young’s 27.94 ft of average distance.

Clark is averaging 34.1% from the 3-point line while leading with 287 3-pointers attempted and 98 3-pointers made. Another report stated that Clark and Kelsey Mitchell are the top-scoring backcourts since the Olympic break. And it is the same break that Kevin Garnett felt was an advantage for the Fever #22.

Kevin Garnett and his analysis on Clark’s improvement post-Olympics

Clark and Mitchell are averaging 51.3 points per game while the second best is Seattle with 40.7. A few days ago, LeBron James also tweeted in support of the Fever Rookie, “CAITLIN CLARK!!!!! HI HATERS.” After her 31 points and 12 dimes display against the Chicago Sky. But, how has the break exactly helped the WNBA assists leader?

“What if @CaitlinClark22 ’s Olympic break was the off season adjustment for the league that @wnba rookies don’t get before their 1st season… shyt looked crazy out there yesterday… 💯 Can tell she was in the film room…,” Kevin Garnett tweeted. Clark last played a game for the Indiana Fever in mid-July and that’s almost a month ago.

The Olympics break that happened surely seems to have rejuvenated her. As per KG, it gave her the time to work on her game even more. She even won the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week (Aug 15-25), which was her first. In that period, Clark ranked third among all players in the WNBA for scoring as she averaged 25.0 points per game to go along with 9.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds per contest.
