Angel Reese’s double-double reign from LSU to Chicago Sky continues. After scoring a double-double in her 12th consecutive WNBA game, she matched the record from Candace Parker. The ‘Chi-town Barbie’ has been involved in 3 of the 10 most-watched WNBA games this season and even reached out to Michael Jordan, with a request during her first preseason game. Even though ‘His Airness’ has been tight-lipped about the request, people from across multiple industries are definitely interested in seeing Reese perform.
Although Michael Jordan has yet to respond to the request, Angel Reese has received love and support from Jordans. Juanita Vanoy, the Chicago Bulls legend’s ex-wife, has made multiple posts on her Instagram to support the 22-year-old. Yes, not just stories but dedicated posts to celebrate Angel Reese. Those posts were made in support when Reese was yet to hit her peak form. Now with her 12th consecutive double-double, a $6 million singer has appreciated Reese.
Singer, and songwriter SZA aka Solana Imani Rowe has taken to Instagram to show her support for the #5 of Sky. She wrote on her story, “Go Crazy! I gotta go she her play 😍.” The news soon reached Reese on X, and she replied, “SZA sisterrrr come to a gameeee i love youuuuu😭🥺🩷.”

SZA is yet to take up Angel Reese on that offer, however, unlike Michael Jordan she has shown interest in the game. Similarly, the Chicago Sky X account posted about the celebrities who turned up a few days ago for the game against the Fever.

Chance the Rapper and Jason Sudeikis were sitting side by side. Chicago-based rappers Vic Mensa and Lil Durk were also present for the game. Interestingly, the Sky rookie had made multiple requests for Michael Jordan. One request was made to other celebrities during the 2024 MET Gala.
Michael Jordan AIR-ed the Sky rookie?
The event was special because she celebrated her 22nd birthday. “When I was at the Gala, I talked to DWade. Obviously, he’s gonna come to the game. Cardi B, she’s gonna try to come to the game in New York. Usher, he said he’s gonna come to the game in Vegas and hopefully he’s going back on tour so all of us can go to the concert.”
During her first preseason game, she said to WGN News, “I want Michael Jordan to come to a game.” She continued, “I’m telling you right now, I want Michael Jordan to come to a game. I’ve never met him. That’s why the first time I want him to come to a game.”
