Utah Prep got back to their best after a small slip, and AJ Dybantsa made sure all eyes were still glued to him. The No. 1 prospect of the 2025 class, who recently inked a deal with the $20.08 billion giant Red Bull, reminded everyone why he’s the future of basketball. Dropping 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists, he was everywhere. Yet, the real showstopper? A jaw-dropping dunk that left his defender grasping at thin air as AJ soared to a height few could imagine.
Overtime picked up the moment and shared it on Instagram, writing, “At this point, you gotta know to LEAVE AJ ALONE 😳.” The post blew up, and AJ himself joined in the fun by reposting it to his own story. In the clip, he went head-to-head with an opponent who gave everything to block him but couldn’t even reach AJ’s wrist. But AJ wasn’t done.
Hours later, he posted another angle of the same dunk on his IG story. This time, he added a playful twist, captioning it: “red bull fs give you wings.” A cheeky nod to his new partnership. And we can assume AJ is playing the game on and off the court.

Red Bull’s announcement of their deal with AJ last month was a game-changer. Becoming their first male basketball athlete in the NIL era, AJ is now part of a groundbreaking shift in high school sports. NIL deals are rewriting the rules, and AJ is leading the charge.
“I think it’ll be a great partnership because it’ll be beneficial to both of us with the platform that they have,” AJ shared on The Youngins Podcast. “I think we fit right in with each other, so it’s going to be special.”
Nevertheless, the road ahead offers AJ Dybantsa and Utah Prep a chance to continue building on this win over Accelerated Prep. While they surprisingly lost to Mt. Zion Prep Academy 59-56 on November 27, they bounced back in style with a 100-63 blowout on November 30.

AJ Dybantsa and Utah Prep are looking to dominate
Next, they’ll face Prolific Prep, a team led by the No. 3 ranked Darryn Peterson. It’s bound to be a heated matchup, especially since Prolific Prep is AJ’s former school. But the challenges don’t stop there—Utah Prep will then take on Duncanville and its standout star Kayden Edwards on December 14.
After that tough stretch, the team gets a breather over the holidays before jumping right back into action. Their January schedule is just as intense, starting with a game against Jermaine O’Neal’s Dynamic Prep on January 10, followed by a high-stakes clash against national champions Montverde Academy on January 19. These games will be critical for Utah Prep to prove they belong at the top.

This upcoming run is also an opportunity for Utah Prep to bounce back in the TSG Power Conference. They’re currently ranked second, with six wins and one loss.
For AJ Dybantsa, it’s a chance to take his game to the next level. The Brockton native is averaging 18.8 points and 9.5 rebounds this season, solid numbers for sure, but he’ll want to elevate those stats against some of the toughest teams in the nation.
