The Stephen C. O’Connell Center witnessed their team win a blowout game against the Longwood Lancers. With a dominating 93-65 win, the Gators team notched their 4th consecutive win. And 5 players scored in double digits points to achieve that win. However, Me’Arah O’Neal was not one of them. But it seems, she is not worried about that, as recalled for some personal time. As many would know, she is staying away from her family in Florida.

That is why she wrote, “i need to be back with them…like right now🥲.” The Gators freshman also added, “my sisters for eternity.” She reshared the story of a close friend of the family, who previously visited the Bahamas with them alongside Shaquille O’Neal in 2019. Apart from 4 friends in the recent story, even elder sister Amirah was present.

After this, Me’Arah O’Neal shared her team’s latest win, even though her contribution in scoring was low. With just 2 points in 15 minutes, she even failed to convert from the free-throw line, a problem that her father Shaquille O’Neal suffered. 0-2 from free throw and she even missed her only shot from beyond the line. And it’s not the first time she has suffered in the recent games for the Gators.

In the last 5 games, Shaquille O’Neal’s youngest has only scored in double digits once. In fact, she has more 0 points games (2) in that period. Her 2 points recent game over the Lancers come after her 7-point display against the Marshall Thundering Herd. Despite her performances of a mixed bag, the family supports Me’Arah O’Neal at every step.

Despite not being the top scorer Shaquille O’Neal’s daughter continues to receive love from the family

Speaking about the game against the Herd, where she only scored 7 points, there were still multiple highlights moments for her. The team uploaded her highlights from the second quarter, where she had an emphatic block and also a three-pointer. The first one to repost that highlight was Shaquille O’Neal’s daughter with former partner Arnetta Yardbourgh. She wrote, “😤😤😤😤One of one,” celebrating her youngest sibling.

Even Shaunie Henderson who was on a Dubai trip with her husband Keion Henderson added, “Baaaaabygirl!!💪🏽.” With 7:50 left on the clock, Me’Arah O’Neal thwarted the attempt from the opposition. The other highlight came with 3:47 remaining, Jeriah Warren dished a pinpoint pass to Me’Arah, who confidently drained a 3-pointer—her only one of the game.

But it’s not all doom and gloom for the Gators star. Even though not being in the top 5 for minutes per game, her contributions are there for the team. She is fourth on the rebounds list, joint second for 3-point shooting, and leads the team in blocks per game. It’s just that her shooting is off, will she recover soon?

What’s your perspective on:

Can Me'Arah O'Neal overcome her shooting slump, or is she destined to follow Shaq's free-throw woes?
