Lakers legend Magic Johnson is fresh off his vacation from Europe and ready to get back into the swing of things. While it has been almost 27 years since he retired from professional basketball, Johnson has used his time and accumulated wealth to venture into other fields. He owns three sporting franchises in the city of LA, along with a series of non-athletic money-making ventures. However, recently, he fulfilled his lifelong dream by becoming a co-owner in the NFL.

A few months after purchasing an ownership stake in the Washington Commanders, Johnson obliged the players with a firsthand visit.

A few hours ago, Magic Johnson took to his official Instagram account to share a post with his 3.5 Million followers. It highlighted the former NBA player making an official visit to a practice session of the Washington Commanders. Whether Johnson was addressing a few players on the field or addressing them as a whole indoors, he captured everyone?s attention.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend may be far removed from his playing days. But the football players still shared a mutual respect for the five-time NBA Champion.

The Associated Press received a quote from the Commanders? second-year receiver Jahan Dotson. He shared his reaction upon seeing the new team owner on the field during the practice session. ?It was really cool because when he walked in, it?s kind of like you?re seeing a star.?

The 23-year-old wide receiver added, ?He was basically just giving us words of encouragement, making sure that we stay focused, stay disciplined and different things like that.?

Along with highlighting his meetup, the 64-year-old legend also showed his very own football jersey in a clip. It carried Magic’s iconic no ?32?.

Making a presence at the above session is just the beginning. Johnson is set to attend other events being held in DC before attending the home opener on Sunday.

This sort of positive influence is much needed in the front office after the controversies surrounding the previous ownership.

Former Commanders owner faces serious allegations

Magic Johnson has been interested in the three-time Super Bowl Champion for quite some time now. It all began when he joined Philadelphia 76ers? managing partner Josh Harris and other investors in placing a $6.05 billion bid to acquire the Commanders.

The sale is the most expensive acquisition of a North American sports team.

The sale of the Commanders came to the limelight after a series of allegations were made against then team owner Daniel Snyder. An independent law firm released a 23-page. It found Snyder guilty of harassing a former employee.

It also highlighted the 58 year old being ?aware of certain efforts? of engaging in financial wrongdoing.
