Will Dwyane Wade's statue capture his iconic 'This is my house' moment? What pose do you expect?

Dwyane Wade‘s statue unveiling this month will not be the sole recognition of his deep connection with Miami. As most NBA fans would know, the Miami Heat is all set to recognize the 3x NBA champ’s commitment to the city with his statue unveiling on October 27 at Kaseya Center West Plaza. Meanwhile, D-Wade has come up with a tribute of his own to his beloved city with his Way of Wade’s latest edition. A brand born out of the collaboration between The Flash and Li Ning.

The partnership that started with a $12 million deal back in 2012 is now a lifetime deal. And the latest product of this deal? Way of Wade 11 “Overtown”. The first look for the sneakers has been revealed through an IG post by the official account of the brand. “Overtown, a historic neighborhood in Miami has been the backdrop for Dwyane Wade’s deep commitment to the community. The red & white colorway represents the spirit of Make Your Own Way,” read the caption to the IG post.

The post further mentioned that the sneakers will be available on Wade Official on October 12. As per the official website of the brand, the sneakers will focus on superiority in speed and propulsion. The shoe’s carbon core drive system will meet this motive. Meanwhile, the ground control unit outsole of the shoe is supposed to help with multidirectional traction.

Apart from this, WOW 11 “Overtown” will also include a special-shape heel TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). While there have been multiple editions in the WOW 11 series — Blossom, White Hot, Hall of Fame — this one holds significance ahead of the statue unveiling ceremony.

Are there any hints on what Dwyane Wade’s statue’s pose could most likely be?
