After scoring a staggering 41 points in the game against the Knicks, His shooting masterpiece has made him a part of a very exclusive club. He along with Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan (2001) holds the record for the highest number of points scored by a player in a preseason game.

Many may claim that it is just a preseason game and therefore, it isn’t a serious record. However, scoring 41 points against a professional NBA team is not a joke. Jordan Poole finally seems to have found his rhythm in Washington, as he seems to fit right into the Washington Wizards’ squad. Jordan Poole’s controversy with the Golden State Warriors

Jordan Poole is a former NBA champion. He won the NBA Championship with the Golden State Warriors in the 2021-2022 season. The 24-year-old NBA superstar contributed majorly to GSW’s championship run, through his clutch shots and important plays.

However, his heated physical exchange with former GSW teammate Draymond Green at team practice eventually led to his fallout with the franchise. After the footage of the altercation between the two NBA stars got leaked online, one can clearly see that Draymond Green punched Jordan Poole.

In the same season(2022-2023), after GSW’s loss to the Lakers in the regular season, it was the first time GSW didn’t make the playoffs since the 2013-2014 season. This was mainly because of the trust that was lost between players after the violent incident between the two GSW players.

Stever Kerr once mentioned this incident in an interview. He said, “The incident with Draymond and Jordan at the beginning of the year played a role in that. It’s hard for that not to impact a team….”. He further says, “Anytime some trust is lost, then it makes the process much more difficult, and there was some trust lost. That’s as blunt as I can be. The only way to try to correct course is to continue to communicate with players and coaches, and those relationships have to be built.”. However, the strained relationship between the two former teammates had reached its limit as Jordan Poole decided to leave the Warriors to go to the Washington Wizards.
