Dwight Howard has handled his fair share of controversy. Whether it’s beef with Shaquille O’Neal or perplexing hot takes, the man is constantly in the news. However, the last couple of days have been particularly harsh on the big man. After his scorching Nikola Jokic takes, the Orlando Magic legend was back in the news.

While NBA players train in an extremely rigorous schedule, enforcing the same on others is never wise. When the others?are your own child, perhaps it’s safe to steer clear of the harshness. However, for Dwight, that wasn’t the case.
In a video going viral, Howard is pushing his son to train harder. However, the 10-year-old David is clearly exhausted. Still, Howard pushes on. As a result, the young boy starts crying. But the former NBA superstar does not let up.

Instead, he doubles down, saying, “I want you to do it until I tell you to stop.? Since the video became public, Dwight has received considerable backlash for his actions. ESPN’s NFL pundit Louis Riddick joined the fray.
As Dwight has constantly been in the news the last month, for one reason or the other, Riddick made his point clear. “Not every f?ing thing needs to be posted.”
This incident comes just days after ESPN’s own, Stephen A Smith, blasted the big man for his words about reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic.

Stephen A has choice words for Howard
Stephen A has long been one of the most entertaining voices in sports television. Known for his candid demeanor, hilarious rants, and exaggerated personality, Smith is a treat to watch. So, when Howard’s comments regarding Jokic became public, the veteran brought back a classic.
Responding with the iconic “Stay off the Weed” proclamation, Smith was in top form. For Howard, it’s the second time that ESPN has lambasted the big man. It seems clear that Howard will not be a player-turned-analyst for ESPN, even though the channel might need new members.
