As Golden State ruled the NBA for almost a decade, the Hall of Fame status of Stephen Curry became well cemented. However, an integral part of the dynasty has been Klay Thompson. Although his shooting prowess is undeniable, after the setbacks that he faced in recent years with injuries, fans have started to forget how good of a player Thompson was during his prime. Thankfully, a 7x NBA champion decided to put his faith (and his money) on the Warriors’ sharpshooter.
While critiquing a list of players with chances of making the Basketball Hall of Fame, Robert Horry revealed that he would bet on Thompson making it in, even though the list did not give the 33-year-old a high chance of being inducted.

During a recent episode of the Big Shot Bob podcast, Rob Jenners brought a list to the conversation that had the names of basketball players who people were willing to bet on to make the Hall of Fame. As the conversation was coming to a conclusion with the different players on the Golden State Warriors, they realized that Klay Thompson was placed as ‘unlikely’ to make the H0F.

This made the crew go on a frenzy, as for most people who follow the game of basketball, Klay Thompson is a guaranteed Hall of Famer. Robert Horry did not even spend much time before revealing his honest thoughts on it.
“I would bet on Klay Thompson getting in,” said Horry, while Brandon Harper said, “This is disrespectful. He is part of the splash bros.”
Horry is sticking with Thompson and his chances of making it to the HoF. While he has not played up to the standard set by himself because of recent injuries, Klay is slowly making his way back to his former self. However, some might still question his eligibility for the Naismith memorial.
Has Klay Thompson done enough?
Over the course of his career, Klay Thompson has made 5 All-Star selections and has also made the All-NBA team twice. But the thing that gives him the most chances of getting into the Hall of Fame is his 4 championships.

Thompson was playing his role to the fullest, next to Stephen Curry. Since the 2019 NBA Finals, Klay has faced an unfortunate list of injuries and struggled to get back to his former glory. Even then, Thompson boasts a career average of 19.7 ppg on over 41% shooting from the three. This, along with him being an integral part of the Warriors dynasty, convinces Robert Horry that Thompson will get into the Hall of Fame.
However, it must be noted that 7x NBA champion, Horry, is not a member of the Naismith Hall of Fame himself. This is primarily because he was never the #1 option on his title-winning teams. Will a similar fate befall the second splash brother?
