Who Is TNT’s “Half Man, Half Make-Up”? Unmasking the Identity of the Man Who Left Charles Barkley Speechless

NBA on TNT gave Memphis Grizzlies youngster GG Jackson a dream come true moment a few days back. After the youngest player in the league secured 23 points and 6 rebounds to defeat the mighty Golden State Warriors, he was interviewed by his childhood icon, the Big Diesel, Shaquille O’Neal. Jackson also spoke to Charles Barkley, but the reaction for Shaq was more. Well, this ruffled a few weathers for the Round Mound of Rebound.

To gain insight into GG Jackson’s reaction, TNT’s reporter Jared Greenberg aka “Half man, half makeup”, got back with Jackson today to find out the reason behind it. Well, shots were fired at Barkley. Greenberg asked Jackson, “Hey, you making it a really big point talking to Shaq. What about the fact that you got an opportunity to talk with Charles too? Was he one of your favorite players?” Greenberg quoted Jackson’s response, “I like winners.”

Charles Barkley couldn’t help but just smile at it. Greenberg did not have to dig too deep to find this hilarious disrespect. However, that is what journalists are good at. Jared Greenberg has years of experience in this field. He worked with CNN as an anchor for one year and joined the NBA’s radio talk show, Sirius XM. He worked there for five full years before he joined the TNT as the lead reporter. Well, he is also great at playing cat and mouse with Barkley. 

Is this Jared Greenberg’s revenge at Charles Barkley’s “half man half make up” joke? 

It should be! Sir Charles loves to mock the people around him. The TNT crew have heard a lot of jokes from the Philadelphia 76ers legend, sometimes at their own expense. Greenberg is one of them who shared one such quip from Chuck in an old interview.

“He[Barkley]’s either going to make fun of my hair or he’s gonna call me ‘Half man, half makeup.” Greenberg also added, “Let me just tell you, from a guy who gets his eyebrows waxed, once if not more than once a week, he’s got no right to make fun of me.” 

Looks like Jared Greenberg already took his revenge, but he felt this was not enough. Although GG Jackson was the one to disrespect Barkley here, Greenberg triggered the response from him. The TNT crew suspected the reporter was bluffing, but he promised that these words came from the Grizzlies star.
