Once Celtics bounced back from a first quarter deficit and finished Game 3 in a fantastic fashion, someone was outdoing the entire Celtics nation in excitement. Paul Pierce was the last champion in Boston way back in 2008. And he’s finally feeling like this is Boston’s series to reclaim the title. He shows his overflowing assurance in the Boston squad with his signature Celtics chain that’s as big as his confidence and took his loyalty up a notch by directing his sarcasm at the Dallas Mavericks.
On Undisputed after the Celts secured a 3-0 lead, Pierce indirectly declared what he sees in the Mavs’ future. “[Paul Pierce] is bringing the brooms out to clean up the Mavs,” the official Undisputed X page posted with a clip of the moment Pierce rounded the table, decked out in green and holding a classic broom to ‘sweep’ out some invisible Mav dust. His massive Celtics chain dangled for all to see when he swooped the broom claiming, “Let me get that Maverick out of here.”
After winning Game 3 103-99 in Dallas, Boston is one game away from winning the 2024 NBA championship 16 years after The Truth did. And he predicts they’ll reclaim the title by sweeping the Mavs. The reason he sees Dallas suffering a humiliating finish is because, “The spirit is broken in Dallas.”

Pierce proceeds to explain, “I mean, the complaining to the refs, both your nuclear weapons played the…” He may have been referring to Luka Doncic claiming the officials prevented both teams from playing physically and he got fouled out. What Pierce sees is, “When your best player is constantly falling to the ground, going to the podium after the game, complaining to the referees, I don’t think they want to fly three hours to get confetti thrown on their head.” So implies that Boston will just celebrate on Friday at the American Airlines Center.

Previously, Pierce had the Celtics in six. After three games, he’s got the Celtics in four. He says Boston might as well, “get it out of the way” before they can return home and get green and white confetti thrown on them. Unless the Mavs listen to their rivals’ biggest hypeman.
Paul Pierce sees Dallas’ flaws
After two very poor showings, Kyrie Irving finally looked like Kyrie Irving, outscoring his teammate Luka with 35 points to Doncic’s 27. But the rest of the team faltered tremendously in scoring. Moreover Mavs’ offensive strategy is still struggling against Boston’s offensive and defensive tactics.
In such a situation, the Mavs have to ask what they will fix to save the series. Pierce says there’s only one. “What adjustment is Kyrie going off.” Which he acknowledged happened this game. It just wasn’t enough. Meanwhile Doncic’s post-game complains is showing a lack of leadership and experience in comparison to Celtics’ duo, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum who are playoffs regulars.

That’s how Pierce sees his team sweeping the Mavs and calling it a wrap. If he broke out the broom too early will be decided on Friday night.
