Stephen A. Smith and Jason Whitlock have a long-standing feud between them, and it’s getting uglier by the day. Recently, they started throwing shade at one another, making their viewers a part of this mess. While it is difficult to pick sides in their ongoing beef, NBA veterans Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson know where they stand.

Discussing the burning topic on their All The Smoke podcast, the two agreed that Whitlock is a hater. Barnes also used a popular quote by the former First Lady of the USA to make his point.

Barnes said that Whitlock has a weird energy about him, but has found a fanbase that seems to love his actions. He said that the 56-year-old goes out of his way to spew hate on people and never cares about the impact of it. Barnes said, “If you look at his comments. There’s a line in the sand. You can see the way he moves and who supports him, and the people that are against him, and what they look like. It’s a crazy situation.”

Barnes said that Whitlock has been so occupied with his intention to hate Stephen A. Smith that he doesn’t even care about what’s right and what’s wrong anymore. The NBA veteran then recalled a quote from Michelle Obama that perfectly captures the situation. He said, “What Michelle Obama said, “When they go low, we go high”, motherf***ers are not going high no more. They’re coming at your neck.” Although this is a very tense situation between the two individuals, Jackson sees something positive in it.

He said, “I’m glad this happened, because, this shows the difference between hating and disagreeing. Stephen A. disagrees with him for how he handles something. What he[Whitlock] be doing, he just be hating on people.” The two veterans agreed that people often fail to understand the difference between the two aspects of someone’s behavior.
