A mythical creature that is said to roam the wild is the bigfoot. Although many have claimed to have witnessed one, there has never been concrete evidence of its existence. They are large and hairy human-like creatures that are said to leave behind a large footprint, and thus the name. However, while speaking of size, someone who knows about having large feet is the Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal.

Scientists and researchers have spent a lot of time trying to find Bigfoot. But it looks like they are finally at a breakthrough, as a new footprint is found in the wild. Surprisingly, it involves Big Shaq too!

Shaquille O’Neal gets compared to Bigfoot

According to the NY Post, a 16-inch footprint was found in Wales, in the United Kingdom. The title of the post was ‘Bigfoot-size print as large as Shaq’s shoe found in Wales‘.

This is similar to the 4x champions’s feet, as he has revealed that his foot dimension is 20, but he wears size 22 shoes. So the footprint found in the wild can fit Shaq’s shoe size.

After seeing the image of the footprint, a researcher said, “The toes are clear, but I don’t see a mid-tarsal break“. This means that it is not a human, as it is missing a key anatomical character that we possess.

Shaquille O’Neal, on the other hand, has struggled throughout his life, as he was bigger than everyone around him. He had difficulty in finding the right fit for him off the rack. This always forced him to make custom items for himself, as regular clothes and items did not fit him.

What Shaq struggled with the most was finding a good pair of shoes that fit his feet. Notorious for having an ugly foot, Shaq did everything he could to make it better.

Shaq did everything for his feet

The first thing that Shaq did to make his feet look good was to beautify it. He revealed in an episode of the Jennifer Hudson show that he paints his toenails. When asked why, he said, “Cause I have ugly a** feet”. Videos have surfaced on the internet of Shaq, showing his bare feet. Needless to say, it wasn’t such a pleasant scene.

Shaq further stated that it all started because of one of his daughters. Once during his playing time, he injured his toe. When he was at home and playing with his daughter, she painted his toenail green, and the next day he went on to score 40 points.

Since then, he has made it a custom to paint his toenails. He told Hudson that he has his toes painted as he was doing the interview. Although the feet looked better because of this, Shaq wanted his feet to be comfortable as well.

After his playing days, Shaq struggled to find comfortable shoes. His body was not in its peak form anymore, and this made him search for a new brand. That’s when he came across TOMS. Shaq did not want to tie knots anymore, and TOMS allowed him to easily slip his feet inside them. To keep feet comfortable, he buys from TOMS, and reportedly, he once bought 2000 pairs of TOMS.

Shaq also likes to wear classic low-top Reeboks. Shaq returned to the brand in 2023 after leaving it in 1998. He apparently made Reebok send him 10,000 pairs of those shoes. Nevertheless, getting compared to a Bigfoot for one’s shoe size is hilarious.
