A reported financial sacrifice of $15 million over his move to the Miami Heat in 2010, but that in no way meant Chris Bosh didn’t live life king-size. In fact, as per HoopsHype, he owned the most expensive home among NBA players. The mansion in discussion is his stunning Florida estate. One that came with a jaw-dropping price tag of $12.3 million. Almost $3 million more than Kobe Bryant’s famed Hollywood residence, as per a 2014 article by Bleacher Report.
The same article listed not just one but two of his mansions on the top 10 list. But this list could have possibly stood valid only up to January 2021.

The rumors first sparked in June 2013, with whispers that Bosh was considering a sale. But why would an NBA star part with such an opulent home? The ex-Heat star himself addressed this back then, telling Sun-Sentinel’s Ira Winderman that it was all about family. With his wife Adrienne expecting their second child, he felt it might be time for a change. It wasn’t about his basketball career, just life evolving. As he put it–“Things change.”
Fast forward to January 2021, when Bosh finally sold the property to AquaBlue Group for $14.43 million. Here’s where things get even more interesting—the new owners weren’t just buying it to live in. They planned to flip the mansion for a staggering $42 million, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
What made this mansion special enough to warrant such a price tag, you ask? Picture 11,709 square feet of Italian-inspired elegance. The developers kept the original structure intact but turned the interior into a showcase of fine Italian millwork and custom furnishings. The glass-covered, box-shaped residence features seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and two kitchens spread across expansive, open spaces.

Have an interesting take?
Imagine stepping into this home and taking a ride on a commercial-grade elevator to reach a primary suite that boasts custom closets and a private balcony. From there, you’d have a perfect view of a palm-studded backyard complete with a pool, spa, cabana, and even a private dock. The half-acre estate rounds out with a lush turf courtyard—a true touch of paradise.
The 2014 BR article that mentioned CB4’s Florida mansion as the most expensive among NBA stars also listed his California mansion as the third most expensive in the list. And now, Bosh is looking to part ways with that very California gem, listing it with Sotheby’s for $14.5 million. At least, that’s what a 2014 article by the Los Angeles Times reported. However, there have been no reports about the mansion actually being sold.
Bosh intended to sell his second most expensive mansion as well.
Imagine owning a 10,700-square-foot villa perched on a 1.45-acre hill in Palisades Highlands. Built in 2001, this estate isn’t just about size—it’s about the breathtaking views stretching from Topanga Canyon all the way to the Pacific Ocean. The home itself is a blend of Mediterranean and Balinese design, where polished floors, intricate columns, and retractable glass walls create an open, luxurious space.
Ever dreamt of a home office with a fireplace or hosting movie nights in your private theater? This place has it all, plus a chef’s kitchen that would make any cook jealous. The master suite? It’s more like a retreat with ocean views, a sitting room, an exercise area, and a spa-like bathroom. And that walk-in closet could be a room on its own.
Step outside and you’ll find resort-style living. An infinity pool with a swim-up bar, cabanas, an outdoor kitchen, and a sunken fireplace perfect for cozy evenings. Fun fact—Bosh even rented this villa for $45,000 a month, and at one point, Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) used it to record Because The Internet. Now, if you’re surprised at why Bosh is selling his valuable estates, he does not intend to keep the smaller purchases either.

Chris Bosh no longer wants to keep his Dallas condo for $3.9 million
Bosh’s desire to be a luxury homeowner in Dallas didn’t last long. Back in 2014, he surprised many by putting his sleek condo at the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton on the market just a year after buying it. And what a condo it was. 4,257 square feet of prime living space that once belonged to Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s own Jaap Van Zweden and renowned violinist Michael Guttman.

Bosh shelled out $3 million for it in October 2013, only to list it for $3.9 million with Sharon Quist of Dave Perry-Miller & Associates. It was no ordinary condo, either. This beauty had three bedrooms, two full and two half-baths, three cozy fireplaces, and a media room.
All that elegance sat on gleaming hardwood and marble floors, with views of Uptown and downtown that stretched from every room, thanks to an open floor plan that made you stop and stare. And let’s not forget the perks—two parking spaces, valet service, a spa and fitness center, a pool, and even a pet park. It seems Chris Bosh had a sooner understanding of Shaquille O’Neal’s opinion that he does not know what he has 5 houses for.
