The Golden State Warriors are looking bright this season with a few major changes made to their team. Initially when Jordan Poole was traded to the Wizards, Dubs fans were quite upset about it. However, considering Draymond Green’s take on the trade, it sounds like CP3’s addition has only benefitted the team.

The 2016 DPOY was candid when he spoke about Poole and how the infamous ‘punch’ impacted the Warriors. It was pretty evident that the Dub Nation had some issues within themselves, during their series against the Los Angeles Lakers in the playoffs.?

Draymond Green explained, “Losing to the Lakers in the second round, aside from all the chemistry issues…we couldn’t score on a bunch of different ways”. When questioned who was the reason behind the chemistry problem, Green went,?“Well, I think, you know, there was always an elephant in the room with the stuff that happened in the preseason…We kind of never moved on from it.”

Green punching Poole in the preseason led to a lot of tension within the Warriors unit. The sad part is it never got resolved, even during the playoffs. Ultimately, the tense situation forced the Warriors to trade Poole to the Wizards.?

With Chris Paul on the team, Green is pretty confident about what’s about to happen.

The defensive forward shared in the interview, “You know you bring here CP, that adds a totally different layers to the offense…We are definitely? getting older, but that ain’t never stopped us from winning.”

The Warriors are on a three-game winning streak now, beating all the odds so far. There are a lot more challenges to come but so far, it looks like Green and the Warriors are ready for it.
