Dwyane Wade’s fashion sense has been on point since the early 2000s. The man knows how to mix high-end with streetwear effortlessly. He’s been spotted in everything from Carhartt jackets to Fear of God pants. His Prada boots are clearly a favorite in his words, “I love my Prada boots.” Wade’s style journey is one of self-discovery. Previously, he even discussed his evolution with GQ, noting his growing confidence, which differed from when he was a young athlete in the NBA.

It’s a mix of sophisticated and comfortable and a reflection of his personality. His recent near $3k outfit was the talk of the town as he showed it off at the annual gather event, ‘the Supper Club’. Aside from fashion, Wade is also a hip-hop head.

He even received a mention from Jay-Z on his widely acclaimed song, “Empire State of Mind”. However, his relationship with Lil Wayne has been rather rocky at the start. Their issues stemmed from Wayne’s support for Kobe. At the time, Wayne made negative comments about the Miami Heat. It didn’t go well.

But time changes things Wade’s Hall of Fame party brought them together. Back to the present, the two don’t have any beef towards one another. This can be seen from Wade’s recent Instagram story.

In the video, he’s vibing to Drake’s viral 2012 song, “The Motto”, featuring Lil Wayne and Tyga. The former Heat legend sang along to the song’s lyrics with a bottle and a glass of red wine in his hands. He sang along to the lyrics, Every day, every day, f*** what anybody say. Can’t see ’em ’cause the money in the way, real n****, what’s up?”

He rapped along to Lil Wayne’s verse as well while showing off his $500 custom jacket. He made the post message very clear with the caption on the story being, “There’s no competing with me, I’m not your competition!”.

Seemingly flexing, the 43-year-old declared that he’s in a league of his own! Interestingly, Wayne wasn’t the only one in beef with the ‘The Flash.’

A Lingering Rivalry: Dwyane Wade and Nowitzki’s All-Star Beef

Dwyane Wade faced many opponents throughout his career. He’s had his share of on-court battles. However, even after all these years, his rivalry with Dirk Nowitzki stands out. It’s a story that spans years and what’s more, it even ended up affecting their All-Star experiences.

Their history began in the 2006 Finals. The Heat beat the Mavericks that year. The tension obviously ignited, and it didn’t end till the 2011 Finals. It’s a saga on its own. Recently, Wade discussed this long-standing rivalry in “In 2006, we won a championship,” Wade recalled. He explained how he and Nowitzki “started having some words”. These words led to a sourness in their relationship which didn’t get any better as time went by.

“And the 2007, 2008, so forth, so on, Dirk and I see each other All-Star Weekend. We don’t even dap up,” Wade added. Moreover, he emphasized how unusual this was. “You know All-Stars, you go out there and at least dap up.” Yet, they wouldn’t even acknowledge each other. “We had beef in the All-Star Game, bro,” Wade stated.

This wasn’t a short-lived disagreement. “And so we see each other All-Star Weekend when everything’s supposed to be, ‘We all fans of each other’; Me and Dirk was like, ‘Nah, I don’t f*** with you.’ For some years, that’s how our All-Star Games went. And that’s just how the game was at that time,” Wade concluded.
