Erin Jackson made waves as a speed skater. Winning gold during the 2022 Winter Olympics, her victory broke a long-awaited deadlock. The last USA athlete to grab gold honors in speed skating was Chris Witty, who won in 2002. Apart from breaking a 20-year hiatus, Jackson also became the first Black woman to win an Olympic gold medal for an individual sport.

Then there is Bode Miller, arguably the most affluent American alpine ski racer. He is a two-time world champion in the sport and won the Olympic gold in 2010. He holds the record for the most Olympic medals won by a US skier.

These two are among the 14 well-reputed stars who will take on the taxing conditions. Will they be able to endure the cold? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
