While all the attention is on the Golden State Warriors‘ on-court troubles, fans may have forgotten that Steve Kerr is in the last year of his contract with the franchise. As there has been no news on Kerr’s extension, doubts about his future in San Francisco have continued to spark. Well, the 58-year-old head coach is unfazed about it. Kerr has given us an update on his contract situation, which he believes to be “normal business”

The former Chicago Bulls guard joined the Warriors in May 2014 and is currently in his 10th season as the franchise’s head coach. Kerr has led the Warriors to 4 championships and 2 NBA Finals. Their recent championship was just 2 seasons back. Gregg Popovich from the San Antonio Spurs is the highest-paid coach for the season with $16 million. He signed a $80 million contract for 5 years. Kerr also signed a 5-year contract in 2018 for $45 million, which will give him $9-9.5 million this season.
