When discussing the NBA of the 1990s, the name that immediately springs to mind is Michael Jordan. He made an unforgettable impact on the sport. Jordan?s game and skills transcended and sometimes overshadowed his teammates. Looking back at the Chicago Bulls era, a sports analyst recalled MJ?s former teammate Scottie Pippen?s remark.

During the conversation, the 58-year-old divulged the entire story behind the 6x champion?s comment.

MJ?s skills always outshined his teammates. One of them was 7x NBA All-Star player Pippen. Once, he predicted something about the legend. In an old clip shared by “Uncovering the Truth, ‘ sports analyst David Aldridge can be seen recalling the conversation.?He shared, ?Somebody asked Scottie, ?What is the legacy of this team is gonna be? The smile that was on his face just totally disappeared. And he said, all they?re gonna remember is Michael winning championships.?

We remember Michael Jordan as the elite player who won 6 championships. That?s how big of an impact he made in the league. He was so much more than the game itself and it reflected on the way he played. His teammates were able to feel the pressure as well.

His competitiveness and prowess often eclipsed the entire roster and franchise. While some lost their chance to win, some lost their opportunity to shine brighter. MJ?s former teammate and rival Pippen was one of the players to voice out his opinion on this matter.

Pippen was among the top 50 players in the history of the league and earned induction into the Hall of Fame in 2010. Many viewed him primarily as Michael Jordan’s partner on the court, but he was so much more than that. In his book ‘Unguarded,’ a seven-time NBA All-Star, Pippen offered a glimpse into his intricate relationship with Jordan.?

He also disclosed his dissatisfaction with the ESPN ten-episode docuseries, which he felt glorified Jordan’s role in the Chicago Bulls’ victories while not giving equal attention to his and the team’s contributions. Pippen starkly articulated the future with the statement we came across earlier.
