MMA star Alex Volkanovski successfully defended his featherweight title against Yair Rodriguez at UFC 290. Volkanovski unified his featherweight titles as he knocked out Rodriguez in the third round in front of a sold-out crowd inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Many celebrities were in attendance for the event and also for the wild party that followed, including NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.

With this latest win, Volkanovski is now 26-2. After the impressive fight, the anticipation of a rematch against lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has gone up among fans. Interestingly, an NBA champion was seen with Volkanovski’s championship belt during the rave.

Israel Adesanya watched his friend and teammate Alex Volkanovski’s TKO and he was hyped. After the fight, Adesanya showed his love as he embraced the featherweight champion. The Last Stylebender also had major praise for Volkanovski as he called him the “greatest of all time”. However, Adesanya was not alone. Notably, The Great also impressed UFC boss Dana White who stated the fighter has “proven himself a million times”. Furthermore, he also said that Volkanovski can decide his next move.

It is safe to say the star deserved some fun after the extraordinary performance. And he did that in style partying with superstars at the Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas.

Volkanovski was seen partying with Adesanya, Shaquille O’Neal, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, and other stars in front of a massive crowd.

DJ Diesel and his son Myles O’Neal had the crowd jumping with their music. Myles shared a few video clips from the party on his Instagram stories. In one such clip, Jamal Murray was seen wearing Volkanovski’s belt. From the looks of other images and clips, it looks like the 2023 NBA champion held on to the belt throughout the event. Murray showed his support for Volkanovski before the fight and believed he will win it. Notably, the fighter is a huge fan of the NBA as well and watched a Denver Nuggets game last year.

Shaquille O’Neal is a massive MMA fan after he was introduced to the sport in 1996.

From there on, his love for the game grew, and he has watched multiple high-profile fights over the years. Also, Big Diesel has spent some training inside the octagon. Notably, he trained with MMA fighters to be fit for the NBA.

The Hall of Famer once recently revealed that he would have fought in the UFC if he was in his thirties. Fans might have forgotten, but Shaq faced off against Oscar de la Hoya in 2019 for his show “Shaq Vs.”

Despite his loss, there’s no doubt that Shaq would be an intimidating opponent for any fighter.
